A friend and I just had a deeeep conversation. It made me realize that no matter how much you’re going through, someone will always have it worse than you, and in that situation you have to be the one to dig them out of their sorrows. I hate to see people so distraught. Especially because I know the Lord is working towards a greater purpose for them. I just wish that they could see it themselves. THANK HIM! He loves to hear ‘Thank you.’ And he loves to see your SMILE. One smile is worth a billion bad days, and it’ll make you feel a little better too:)
"You say that you love rain, but you open your umbrella when it rains. You say that you love the sun, but you find a shadow spot when the sun shines. You say that you love the wind, but you close your windows when wind blows. This is why I am afraid; You say that you love me too."
It was epic beyond words!!!! J. Cole doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves down here in the South (especially Texas). Fortunately this crowd were die hard fans. Everyone, including myself, knew every word - from The Warm Up’s “Grown Simba”, to Friday Night Lights’ “Premeditated Murder”. J. Cole, who’s album will be released September 27, rocked the audience with his charm and thoughtful lyrics from all three Mixtapes. I recollect him only performing two new songs from the upcoming album, “Cole World: The Sideline Story”. Even though his ankle was fractured, he didn’t pull a Drake. He put on a leg brace and carried on up and down the stage, engaging his fans to the fullest. NOW THAT IS TALENT! The best part of the night? When his DJ announced that the RocNation rumors were completely false; that Cole would never be released from the label!!! *Sigh of relief*
My Prediction: By this time next year my favorite rapper J. Cole will be one of the best in the game. Bigger than Big Sean, Wiz, or ____ (I was going to say Drake, but definitely not Drake). Him & Wale will be the Tupac & Nas of our day. My opinion, my blog, so f___ your point of view.
I have decided to frequent my Tumblr. I used it, then stopped, and started again… and ultimately gave it up. Too much like MySpace (eeeek!) HOWEVER. for the ‘sole’ purpose of my Introduction to Broadcast News class, I’m back. Regular boring news, entertainment news, music (duh), and fashion, fashion, FASHION, and less cursing of course. This is college for Christ’s sake!
